Sourced It. (“Sourced It,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to maintaining the privacy, security, and integrity of data processed across our hybrid pay-per-lead marketplace.
Because we operate as both a lead generator and a platform host for third-party lead generation companies, this Privacy Policy outlines how we manage two separate channels of data:
Platform User Data: Information regarding commercial users (Buyers and Third-Party Vendors) who register accounts.
Marketplace Lead Data: Personal information of Canadian consumers who have submitted inquiries that are routed and transacted on the Platform.
1. Information We Collect
From Account Users (Buyers/Vendors): Corporate names, contact person name, professional email addresses, phone numbers, billing details, and secure transaction metadata (processed via our PCI-compliant payment processor, Stripe).
From Marketplace Leads: Depending on the business vertical (e.g., insurance, real estate, financial services, or home improvement), the platform processes consumer data including names, telephone numbers, emails, residential/postal codes, and specific commercial requirements provided by the consumer during their initial request.
2. How We Use and Route Information
To Run the Marketplace: To automatically validate, score, match, and route consumer requests to qualified Buyers based on their buying criteria.
To Manage Accounts: To process pre-paid wallet deposits, track lead allocations, compute vendor payouts, and address lead reclamation claims.
To Prevent Fraud: To identify duplicate leads, filter bot-generated submissions, and ensure general marketplace quality.
3. Data Protection and Accountability Roles (PIPEDA)
Under Canadian privacy legislation, data responsibility is assigned as follows:
Sourced It Leads: For leads generated directly by Sourced It, Sourced It is the organization accountable for ensuring proper consent was gathered at the point of capture.
Third-Party Vendor Leads: For leads introduced by external generation firms, the respective Third-Party Vendor is the primary organization accountable for gathering lawful, compliant opt-in consumer consent before submitting data to Sourced It. Sourced It acts as a data intermediary and processor for these transactions.
Purchased Leads: Once a lead is purchased, unmasked, and delivered via the Platform, the Buyer becomes an independent organization accountable for that personal information and must handle it in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell consumer lead information to general marketing brokers or data harvesters. Lead information is exposed or transferred only to authorized, paying Buyers on our Platform who have successfully matched with or purchased the specific lead.
We use trusted, secure third-party sub-processors to maintain our digital infrastructure, including:
Secure Cloud Infrastructure Providers (for database hosting and algorithmic routing pipelines).
Stripe, Inc. (for processing corporate payments and vendor payouts).
5. Data Security, Retention, and Location
Security Safeguards: We employ strict technological safeguards, including end-to-end data encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at-rest database encryption. Database access is isolated across platform accounts.
Data Location: Sourced It is a Canadian run business. However, data processed via our cloud sub-processors may be hosted or backed up on secure servers located in the United States. By using our platform, you understand that information may be subject to access requests by foreign law enforcement under local laws.
Retention: We retain lead records only as long as necessary to fulfill marketplace routing verification, facilitate auditing, and resolve reclamation requests. Lead data is systematically anonymized or securely deleted within 90 days of platform transaction unless legally required otherwise.
6. Individual Privacy Rights (Access and Correction)
Canadian consumers and business users have the right to request access to or correction of their personal information held in our active systems. If you wish to find out what information is held about you, or request that your contact info be scrubbed from our active marketplace routing, please contact our Data Privacy Officer at [email protected].
